Food Fix Up is is all about enjoying simple, healthy and delicious recipes with absolutely no nasties. They came to us with a clear brief; to create a mobile app which best represented their offering of ‘whole food made delicious’ and inspire people to recreate their beautiful recipes.
We recognised that people tend to discover recipes in a traditional cook book in several different ways, from browsing visually through to searching specific ingredient/food types. This insight underpinned our design approach to the UX/UI; we recreated the indulgent experience of leisurely browsing through a cook book – with the usability of a modern day app.
We crafted the User Interface with a fresh colour palette, clear iconography and contemporary typographic approach to hero the luscious food photography. This is teamed with a navigation which allows the user to search for specific content of interest and indexing all content to enable further discovery – delivering a journey to increase use, sharing and food exploration.
The app has been named one of the Huffington Post’s best clean eating apps as well as the Herald’s app of the week.
