As part of the large-scale environmental retail installations we create with Sylvia Park, they asked us to create something fresh and engaging in a high traffic area that would be a talking point and create customer ‘dwell time’.
Themed around longer spring and summer days we are all keen to welcome, a Miami Beach scene in vaporwave style and a ‘larger than life’ garden were playfully illustrated. Both fun and impactful, these 3D environmental graphics were designed to have appeal to shoppers of all ages.
3D elements lift from the surface and the illustrations spill out onto the floor below; a bench seat formed part of our garden scene and road signage was playfully integrated to our creative theme, directing customers to their favourite retail stores.
Each retail installation has details that become apparent as customers look more closely; a tongue-in-cheek numberplate, glowing cats’ eyes. Little details were also picked out in reflective material so in the evenings or in a photo these would come alive even further.
‘Well hello there, spring’ messaging ran along the sides of the area between each illustration, the corners as if pealing back to reveal more illustration below.
Dwell people did, taking selfies together and sharing, families stopping so children could count the cats’ eyes, taking pause from shopping on the garden bench to drink their coffee together. They certainly have been a talking point!
